Prometheus International Launch Trailer

I have been purposefully avoiding all trailers and links to Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus.  I already know too much about the new Batman well ahead of release that none of it will be a surprise, so I wanted to keep Prometheus sacred.

Until the very special trailer premiered in the middle of the very excellent Homeland on Channel 4 last night, it seems my trck record has been broken.

To put it simply, ITS AMAZEBALLS.

2 Broke Girls

2 Broke Girls smacked straight into E4 this week and being a fan of Kat Denning's quirky nature in every film I have seen her in, I thought I would give it a go.

I expected gritty comedy, obsceneness and filthy jokes a plenty.

What I got was badly written, wooden acted crap.  Since when is this funny?   The rude jokes weren't smart or clever, only frat boys can like this dross.  It could have been a bit smarter instead it appealed to the base demographic.  It was just plain stupid.  I shall not be watching again.

That is all.

Avengers Assemble

This was quite possibly the most fun comic super hero movie I have ever seen.  I squealed like a little girl throughout the film, caught up in the excitement and the action.

Definitely go and see it people.  I am too excited to write a proper review but I will let an expert do it for you.  Read Stuart Barr's review on Screenjabber here. http://www.screenjabber.com/the-avengers-review

The Woman in Black

The first branded Hammer horror movie in years, The Woman in Black came out fighting.  It promised old skool scares, jumps and screams.  And boy does it deliver!

The Woman in Black centres around a young lawyer Arthur Kipps (played very skillfully by Daniel Radcliffe) who travels to a remote village to deal with the estate of a recently deceased local woman.  He soon finds that the ghost of a scorned woman starts being vengeful against other residents.

I have to say I jumped quite a few times, there were a couple of real scary moments in there that I didn't expect at all!  I have seen lots of horror films in my time and they don't really scare me any more but this one got me!  For a proper old skool scare, this is the film for you.  Radcliffe does well to shake off his Potter cloak, grows some stubble and acts his chops off.  Ciaran Hinds is still great although I don't feel he is utilised as much as he should be.

And with the news that a second WiB offering is on its way, I can be scared all over again!

John Carter

Now I don't want to say too much, what with it being a conflict of interest and all, but having watched John Carter before I started working at Disney I can say this.

I loved it.  Its great entertainment, full of amazing CGI, laughs, romance and adventure.  Don't listen to the haters, go check it out!

P.s. Give me a bit of Taylor Kitsch any day!
