Here's to you, Mrs Robinson...

I was labelled a Cougar today for being interested in a 26 year old man.  Now, at age 31, I don't feel 31, I don't feel old and I don't act my age.  So, how old is too old?  Why is it okay for a 31 year old man to go out with a 26 year old woman, but when the tables are turned, we become cougars?

I have done a little digging on t'internet on the cougar concept, and by all accounts, I don't fit into that category by a mile!

31 - cougar or not?

  1. Ah yes 'cougars', just like 'yummy mummy'.. one of those expressions that seems completely banal, but is actually deeply sexist. I have come to the conclusion that the times we live in practice a sexism that is almost 'undercover' by dint of presenting itself as 'normal' - i.e. you never look for it in the most obvious places. (LOL - Dr Chuffly!)
