Buried

This one very bleak film.  Its hard to understand what it would feel like to be taken hostage, but that the hostage takers would place you in a coffin and bury you while you are still alive, with nothing but a phone and a knife, is an even worse thing to think about.

Being buried alive is I am sure its the absolute worst nightmare of most people, mine included.  Along with rejection and some members of my distant family, I would never wish it one anyone.

This man has to use the phone to call and get himself out of that box, get the US government to pay the hostage takers millions of dollars in order to secure his release.  Standard hostage story you say?

You would be wrong.  It takes you on these random twists and turns, through small plot lines you don't think are relevant until the end.

I was disappointed by the way it ended.  Its not what I expected and not what I had hoped.  I needed more. Well acted though and as always Ryan Reynolds really fills the role well.

Worth watching and it gets 3 out of 5.





*It wouldn't be right for me to talk about Ryan Reynolds without making some kind of pervy comment, but seriously.....man is fine!
